Hi All
I have been watching this space ever since I saw one of the buddy scooters. I want to get one myself. but I have a question? I'm a big guy
a little over 290, what is the weight limit of a buddy?? are there any big people out ther on a buddy. I have roade on a vespa and a honda D150
and had no trouble my 1985 honda is getting hard to find parts. So I am thinking maybe a buddy. I really like some of your pictures these custommize very well. :D

Hello and welcome!

I don't think your weight will be as much of an issue as whether you'll be comfortable riding on the Buddy. It would definitely do you a lot of good to visit a dealer and sit on one, adjust the mirrors, try out the seat and so on.

For instance, a lot of taller riders have to sit way back on the seat when they ride. One issue I have is that my size 12 boots don't fit on the floorboard too well.

But it seems the Buddy accommodates riders of a broad range of shapes and sizes, so hopefully it'll suit you.

My girlfriend and me together are about 310 lbs and my 125 rides fine with both of us. Ive taken her up in to the hills and it didnt lack any climbing power. I had to brake a bit earlier coming down. and watch the bumps a bit more then I usually do, but overall I was suprised by the performance. Im 5'11" tall and I had to sit farther forward then I like with a passenger. If you are over 6' it might be to small for you.

Buddy brochure specs state weight capacity 340lbs
(rider, passenger, cargo, fluids).

Do you plan to put a trunk or saddlebags on to carry items?

Still should be able to carry some additional weight.
