Just a really cool custom scooter I thought others might like to see. They do a pretty good explanation of the build as well. I know I would take it for a spin given the chance.

I dig it! :D

Don't feel so wrong anymore about the '80 Honda Express II / '08 GY6A long case abomination I'm cobbling together. Parts is parts, right?
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Will that end up being a 125 or 150 Honda Express? That sounds awesome!

According to the engine casing and mfg plate, it's a 180cc.

Engine was free. Chassis was free. It all needs work in order to work.

I've been fiddling with an engine hanger design to make the GY6 mount to the Express mount, but I'm beginning to think the Express will need a new set of mounts welded on, a mildly stretched hanger and probably a second shock mount.

Never considered building a skelly before, but doing it to an Express is about as easy as it gets!

Plenty of time. The engine probably has a busted con rod. Just got the requisite tools to do the tear down. If the case is good, I could class it up with some NCY bits.

Frame still needs work. I'll bench it once I get something off the bench. At least the seat and fork are no longer total trash.

Also was looking at doing a GY6 into one of the many Elite 80s that have accumulated at the garage. Many have trashed engines, which aren't terribly cheap to fix. Might be easier to ride.
