How do you lash the Buddy down?

I need to take my Buddy 125 somewhere in my minivan. I’ve removed all the rear seats, so there’s both room and floor anchors (where the seats were attached) available.
Question: Where do I attach the lashing straps onto the Buddy for good grip, without breaking anything? A suggestion I read on a Vespa forum suggested putting the scoot on it’s centerstand and then lashing the floorboards down both fore and aft? But if I do this won't the Buddy's front wheel come up off the ground? And is that opkay?
I think it might also be a good idea to tie the brake levers closed with bungee cords too?
Any suggestions, experience, ideas here, would be greatly appreciated…
Thanks,
