Cold weather noise? Or should I worry...?

New buddy owner, and just starting my first winter. Not every time, but at least twice now when I have started the buddy, I get a very quick loud almost like a klaxon sound... Not that loud, but loud enough and a little startling. I also had the thing happen where buddy died after a couple of blocks, presumably due to being cold.

So today I added sea foam to the gas and I guess I will see if that makes the difference.

But is the sound something to worry about (aside from potentially annoying the neighbor I mean?

I don't know what to tell you about the klaxson like noise...but I can tell you that both Me a Mrs. Merckx ride in the cold (sub freezeing) and neither of us get that noise...if it happens every time you start it up you most likely should talk to you local buddy mechanic, I would suspect something is up and that should be attended to........

Wow. I think this is the first time anyone's described such a noise. I have no idea what would cause it.

Thanks, I think. Dubious honor at best.

Of course it is not doing it consistently at all, so I am not too worried.

Also, my wife does not like me to sing to loud at church, as my ear for tones and sounds of many kinds is a little... Peculiar? So my description is not the greatest probably.

If I ever find out what it is, I will re post. But thanks for the input. Ed
