First time riding with a passenger. Went to the local gas station to fill up the hog
But with 340 pounds on the buddy. It still hauled! I was very impressed
The bikes acceleration was alittle slower of course. braking to a stop seemed to drag also. But I'm pretty happy with it overall!
also I been looking for the weight capacity on the buddy. can't seem to find it :/
p.s first post to this site!
160lbs + 180lbs on buddy 170i

Congratulations for your first post.
Just like any vehicle loaded to nearly it's capacity, braking and acceleration will be affected, just keep that in mind.
I used to quite frequently ride 2up with my lady friend though our combined weight was obviously more than my single riding it wasn't difficult for the Buddy to handle on our South Central Pennsylvania roads....

My wife and I rode two-up for years on a Buddy 125. The only reason we upgraded to a bigger scoot (CityCom 300i) was the price of $1200 was hard to pass on and we wanted to go further/faster on the interstate. The two mods worth doing to a Buddy that gets a passenger are the Big Rotor front brake kit and find someone willing to sell you some fold out passenger foot pegs that were custom made by a member here a long time ago (cant remember who but he was a airplane tech). And of note, if you decide to run a trunk you have to mount it kinda far back to still fit a passenger and the overlap at the rear of the rack will let the trunk "flex", smacking your passenger in the lower back. I modded/reinforced my rack for a SHAD 37 and it was rock solid stiff, also got the back pad for extra comfort. I miss that Buddy but it went to a great home.
