Why would this be and what can I do about it?

Post by Whimscootie »

My Psycho was garage-kept before I got it and I keep it in one now.

But guess what...the exhaust pipe underneath the body of the scoot is RUSTING.

What can I do about this besides try to keep it clean and dry?

Is there something I can spray on it for protection?

Wire brush it to get rid of the rust, then spray this on:

This paint needs to be heated up to cure fully, so follow the post-application instructions on the can. I used it to restore the muffler on my Helix and it does a great job.

Sounds like a simple solution! Thanks! I will scope out a can of that Rust-Oleum right away!
