Anybody have a "Yuasa clone" in their Buddy?

I see them for 20-30 bucks while the real deal is around 50.

I use the Powersonic AGM batteries from the local battery shop. They aren't $20, but they are substantially less than the equivalent Yuasa batteries and seem to last just as well. (and here is a hint - the YTX or PTX 9-BS will fit in the Buddy battery compartment in place of the stock battery with a minor mod to the lid. Better output, surer starts, holds it's charge longer, blah, blah, blah).

No, but it is fairly straight forward. There are x-shaped pieces which project downward from the cover to hold the battery in place. Just saw enough of these projections off to compensate for the difference in the height of the battery. (As an aside, I believe the YTZ10S or equivalent will also fit in the Buddy battery case)
