Over filled oil
Could it be a pontentail issue?
Had the scoot, a 150, gone over early this summer, dealer's mechanic admittly over filled the oil and we removed some when the over fill was noticed, about two ounces. I think I'd only put about 200 miles on it in that situation. Is there anything I should be conscerned about? I've a total of about 17,000 miles on the Buddy.

If it wasn't enough to cause any performance degradations (sluggishness, poor acceleration), then you're most likely golden.

The only way to ever know how much is in there for sure is to drain it. If you're concerned, changing the oil is probably the best solution. It may not need it but peace of mind is valuable.

I over filled my 170I the first time I changed oil. Within 10 miles the red light came on, and the scoot slowed down. Got to my
friends place and we used a large hypo with a tube on it to extract the
overfill. It then ran fine. Lucky that the 170i has a red check engine light
and that it automatically lost power.
