Joy! Joy! New scooter is here! Pics posted!

Post by Whimscootie »

And I LOVE it!

Merge the Buddy's fit and fun with the smooth fuel-injected quietness of the little C3 and you get the Honda Elite 110!

My perfect scooter!

Anyway, thanks to the wonderful folks at Honda of Florence Kentucky I was able to get the scooter home to Ohio. Not only did they transport it, but they gave it a thorough check over once I rode it to the shop from the seller's house. They even put a "pigtail" on it for me to use on the battery tender.

This is one awesome dealership and I am now a loyal customer!

Anyway, once I got it home I went over it and wound up adding some fresh oil, fresh coolant, and adding Seafoam (ta da!) to a fresh tank of premium gasoline.

Then I rode it and encountered bunches of people who stopped me and wanted to know all about the scooter! This has never happened to me before.

I got many compliments and one older gentleman is now going to try to find one for himself because he says he'd like to "ride it to coffee" at the local McDonald's in the morning!

I rode it to the Autozone to get some oil and coolant and the guy came out and admired it and asked a bazillion questions and then went inside with me and spent about 20 minutes helping me pick out "just the right oil and coolant" according to Honda's standards. It was amazing!

I even had a guy on a motorcycle trail me and stopped me and wanted to know what kind of scooter it was and said it was a beautiful bike!

I'm not kidding, guys! It was fun but actually kind of weird, ya know?

After I came home for supper I took it out for a little late night spin around 11pm. Just wanted to ride it again so desperately.

I haven't felt this way about a scooter since I got my very first Ruckus in 2006!

It is THAT exciting to me!

:D

Pics and ride report later....

Congratulations! The right scooter is like the right pair of shoes, isn't it? Again, congrats.

Next up, photos please.

forget about the premium gas it does nothing but lighten your purse, if anything makes the motor run less optimal...the elite is design for regular 86/87 octane gasoline.

Anyways if you have questions on it I'm kinda the expert with the NHX110. Go to my thread for the elite on ADV or Urbanscootin and ask away, you can also get lots of info there in my thread as well. And watch my youtube channel for how to's.

Hey Deb,

(1) I like your enthusiasim, (2) I'm kinda jealous as I let a 110 Elite slip by me in AZ this past Jan. and (3) what color is it? I'm hoping you say red as that's my favorite Honda color. Anyway, congrats on a nice find. And, yes, pics would be great including one of you on your new ride. Smiling of course!

Thank you and the scooter community appreciates your support!

I feel confident that I can do some of the work on my own scooter thanks to your availability and videos.

I am over on Urban Scootin and ADV as well.

Yeah, what Syd said....

You've given it a good 'bath and buff' you're killing us without the obligatory 'photo shoot'

Ok, here ya go!

I put on my trusty basket on the rear rack and took her out on a 30 mile country loop, ending in a bit of grocery shopping!

The under seat is filled with Bismarks, Sunny Buns, a loaf of bread, sour cream, popcorn, baking potatoes, and eggs.

The basket has a small milk, small orange juice, 12 pack of pop, 12 pack of water, and 2 bags of chips.

Rest of the loot is in the green bag suspended from the hook.

I will offer a ride report later...

Thank you!

I feel like I rescued an old dog that was penned up and unloved!

Scoot has sat for 4 years in a garage...ridden once this year, to prep for sale, and once last year.

She's like a wild horse finally running free!

And I intend to give her lots of TLC...

Naw, that's her pigtail for the trickler. Not so pretty, but she's gonna stay charged.

Think of it as a hip kinda nose ring! Lol

Sweeet!!! I didn't even know that they still made these. They were hot back in the 80's. It was so fugly though. It looks so different now they should have just changed the name of it since it's a whole new design.

Beautiful. The Joe Cool is an especially nice touch. I may have to "borrow" that idea for my scoot.

This is a 2010 that Honda only sold in that year here in the US.

Still sold all over the world as the "Lead".

Honda needs to bring this scooter back to the US.
