LA-Area Riders: Ride to Long Beach 12/8

There will be a small (for now) group riding from the San Fernando Valley (North Hollywood) to WeHo then to Long Beach on the morning of Dec. 8 to attend the International Motorcycle Show (details and advance tickets
here). A number of ModernVespa and ModernBuddy members from surrounding areas are riding up/down/over to attend. This is a 125cc+ non-freeway route that will likely take us over Laurel Canyon, down La Cienaga to the PCH to LB.
I'll supply details as they come together and we decide on convenient meeting places and times. I suspect we may set out fairly early, though.

Sounds good. Just let me know where and when to meet up!

We'll be meeting one person in WeHo, then it looks like we'll hook up with the South Bay Scooter Club in Torrance for the final leg.
We're all still trying to work out details, but we definitely want to get to LB fairly early—11 or 11:30. We want to be in by noon to see MV member Rex do a performance of his award-winning song "Vespa Vespa" (check out the contest-winning video
here). Hopefully they won't be running on "scooter time."
To see how many scooterists it takes to plan a ride to Long Beach, follow the bouncing ball here:

Shouldnt be a problem to meet you there. Will you be riding back as a group as well? About what time would that be?

Yup, that's the one:

Looks like we'll be departing from that spot by 10am. 3 or 4 of us as of now.

Looks like it MAY rain on Saturday. So I'll let you know if there's a change in plans as a result.

Current forecast: no rain!
I'm still waiting on final meetup times & locations. There's a larger group going than I initially thought because members of some of the other scooter clubs are all gathering Saturday to ride out as well.

OKay: same time & location. 10am departure from Sunset and Crescent Heights.
Sky seems to be clearing now. Should be a nice ride, but a little cool.
If anyone else is joining, let me know so we can expect you.

Nope; I was waiting to see about the weather. They may still be available online or I may have an extra discount coupon if I can find it.

Thanks again for the ride Eric! I managed to find my way back without any problems. The show was pretty cool. It was cool to see the Vespa song live and I got a good deal on a scorpion helmet. That black mp3 was so damn cool, I cant stop thinking about it.

It was good to meet you Sunil; thanks for coming out and representing the Buddy riders!
It was definitely a longer—and colder—ride coming back. I hit dense traffic most of the way.
The show was interesting. I didn't buy a helmet but found out that the Vega Summit II is the only modular on the market that fits my head. Huh.
That MP3 500 is damn impressive, and I liked the Vespa S a lot, too. I was kind of shocked to learn that the Vectrix all-electric version of the MP3 will retail for $16,000. Wow!
