All.
Changed the oil in the final drive this weekend as required by Owner's Manual at 200 miles.
Removed ~120cc's.
Refilled with ~120cc's.
QUESTION:
How do we check the oil level when the fill plug with correct oil is well above the oil level in the gearbox? (It appears that the full/correct oil level is ~1" - 2 " below the fill plug.) Yes, I looked in the Service Manual and could not find an answer.
EVERY 'scoot I've owned uses the fill hole as the check level in the final drive gearbox.
Thanks!

Every scoot but this one, I'm afraid. Drain it and add the proper amount. 120cc sounds a little much. From dead-dry, it can hold 110cc, but typically most folks will only get 90cc to drain.

Worst case, though, it overflows out a weep hole. I can't recall hearing that anyone had overfilled and had blown seals.

Thank you Pete H.
Now I'm going to work out a way to measure it somehow...

Get a little beaker/measuring cup to drain into, and a big plastic syringe to measure and fill. It makes getting gear oil into the horizontal filler go much easier. Just a few bucks on Amazon, or at a local pharmacy or medical-supply house.

Thanks Pete.
I'm going to build a small "Z" shaped dipstick to put in the hole to measure the oil depth.

I'm not sure what that would tell you with any degree of accuracy. PeteH laid out the proper way to do it.

Drain and refill works just fine, as Pete suggested.
My "Z" indicator works great as well. I put one end (dip end) in the hole and use the other end to be sure the dip end is vertical. I've marked the midsection of the "Z" to be sure the wire is in the same location every time. I've marked the dip end at full and can now tell if I have a leak.
Same location oil level therefore repeatable and accurate measurement.

Whatever works. :)

The current Genuine Buddy manual says to use 90cc.

We changed the gear oil in a 170 and a 150 today and are adding 90cc in each scoot.

Just found the answer...
