My new blog post on a 3 day trip a few friends made. There was 30 year old Honda elite 150, my daughters new Lance Cabo 150 ( I decided to break it in properly), AND the best one? My friend on a Genuine RH50.

Yes, we all rode at 50cc pace. The best part was he lives the farthest away and road the most distance :)

What a great looking road trip. Did you stop at Root's Old Mill Market for a sausage sandwich? Wish I was along.

Always fun, I go as often as I can. It's about a half hour ride for me to get there. :D

If you want an interesting small bike ride, try following the scenic route(s) up to Smethport, PA. I did it a couple of years ago on my TU250: miles of great curves, beautiful scenary (focus! Not that kind of curves or scenary. That's at the beach. Smethport is in the mountains), empty roads, great diners, and a place that rents armored cars (no kidding: English Ferret armored cars to be exact). It was fun on the TU. It would be a blast on my 50.

Cabo

BTW, how did the Lance do? I would like a bigger scooter, a 150 at least, for myself, but the Hooligan is kind of pricey. How does the Cabo compare?

Manheim is in my neck of the woods...lots of great country & back roads! I enjoy riding them alot on both bikes...the farm roads with the 90 degree turns are a blast on my GZ! don't forget to hit The Jigger Shop in Mt. Gretna or Annie's in Campbelltown for great ice cream!

I don't think I could be trusted with an armored car.

I only rode the lance Cabo for a little while, so I can't give a very in depth review, but first impressions- gauge cluster is awesome, seating position is ok, motor feels torquey, handling is nuetral. I might try to talk the wife into getting one if any more pieces fall off the kymco.

That being said, it is Not on the same level as the hooligan.

There will be a test on the blog in the next few weeks comparing the Cabo and the Hooligan in depth. One of the guys at work owns a hooligan and the Cabo is for my daughter, so they are both around. The test is being "put together" as we speak.
The short of it? The hooligan is smoother, a little faster and has a much better seat AND headlight. The cabo is a great bike for almost 900 bucks less. I like it and it works well; just don't ride a hooligan :)

....Oh, and I know a little bit about those Ferrets ;), but thats another story.

NOW I know the sausage sammich place. If you make me, I could go back again.

If I had the time off, I would do a ride like that every week.

....but its so much more fun to ride into seawater in the dark. In the daylight you wouldn't get the crap your pants effect.

Good point. It did keep the exciting factor up.
