Florida Keys in April

Looks like I will be flying out to FL in April to meet my other half on his motorcycle for a mini rally in The Keys. He's riding his Honda 750 Shadow out from here in Tucson. I can't get away that long or I'd just climb on the back.

Where can I rent a small scooter preferably a Buddy?

Where is a good non seafood place to eat in The Keys?

Can I rent a full face helmet somewhere or should I just pack mine and hope my luggage gets there with me?

Any suggestions would be appreciated for things to do and see.
Thanks, I've only been out there once as a kid. I don't know my way at all.

I have relatives in Cape Coral/Ft Meyers and thought maybe I fly to there and seek alternative transportation the rest of the way. Are there boats to be caught or can I rent a scooter to get there?

How far would the drive be from Ft Meyers to The Keys?

Haha. You are funny.

Going way east from Tucson, not slightly north.

Your name came up the other day at Scootover. It was about an Allstate I believe. Was more interested in the Bajaj I ended up buying.

By, "The Keys," I'm assuming you mean Key West. Is that right? If so, it's about 300 miles from Ft Meyers to Key West.

Moped Hospital is in Key West. Steve sells, enhances and rent scooters there. Keep in mind most rentals are 50cc so the tourists can get 'em without a motorcycle endorsement.
