storage battery drain 170i

Hooligan battery seems to drain and needs recharging when the scoot is not
run for several weeks. This does not seem to happen on my Buddy 50. The
Buddy can sit for a month and the battery just fires the scoot right up.
Question is: do the fuel injected Genuine scoots have a CDI module that needs
a few miliamps constant drain to stay alive. And if so, how many miliamps does
it draw when the scoot is stored?
Thanks, GGP

Use a battery tender and don't worry about it

I know that the ECU in cars draw power when the engine isn't running, so maybe the scooters are the same. If I knew someone near me with a FI scooter I could put a meter on the battery to check for current draw. I do know that on my carbureted Blur, the instrument cluster does draw a small amount of power when the scoot is not running to keep the clock alive.

Get yourself a battery tender. I'm a bit surprised you don't have one with 3 bikes. They're cheap and they work.
