Hi I see that genuine has now put or is putting out the venture scooter . WOW
I have seen pictures and have got a prom. of a test ride when my dealer gets one in.
I like the 3 valve 4 stroke liquid cooled motor . disk brakes on both wheels
does anyone know is this a first year made item or has PGO been making this scooter for a few years ? if the scooter is a few years old does anyone know what PGO calls this scooter ? also are there any extra parts ? cowl protectors ? rear rack ? or would my buddy 50 rack and cowl protectors fit on the Venture scooter

The Venture is a Chinese model, not from PGO. It looks very promising, hopefully it is. The engine is a Yamaha copy.

These make me really nervous.
On the 'cheaper' models, the dealer isn't reimbursed for labor. I suspect in 2 years there's a lot that will go wrong with these, but people won't be wanting to spend 3k on a Buddy or similar when they can get these for half.
This makes me concerned for my local dealers.

The Venture will have a full Genuine backed warranty.
The Chicago Scooter Co. has the parts-only warranty, which is actually better for us dealers because we hardly get anything for warranty repairs. It's a good day if a warranty repair covers our cost. An average I get reimbursed is 1/3 of the time I spend repairing.

50cc's are the majority of what I sell. It's an odd thing for an enthusiast like me to understand, but there are a bunch of scooter owners out there who aren't enthusiasts.
A new thing I've been seeing in New Orleans is due to the rising cost of car insurance, couples aren't replacing their second car when it dies, gets wrecked or stolen. They keep one car and carpool if they have similar schedules and get a scooter to run around on with when needed.
have you ridden or bought a Buddy Venture scooter

I have ridden two. one they said they did some carb work might be bigger valves ?on carb I tried a stock and one with carb work and I liked the one that was mucked with, has anyone else ridden one ? I like my buddy50 2012 with 6,340 miles but hate the small wheels but 89 mpg and runs good , hard to beat but is bigger wheels and disk brakes on both wheels worth $1,920 out the door . has anyone heard or seen any problems ? with the venture other then it is a new first year model .
