Stray disconnected tubing mystery. Yikes?

Went to do an oil change today and stumbled across this little tube hanging down near my oil filter. I have no clue what it connects to and dont see anything obvious near the end that screams "I should have a tube connected to me!"

Im not having any performance issues. I did recently have a "crash" so to speak back in december when I hit a massive pothole and had to have my entire rear wheel assembly replaced. Could the shop have missed this tube upon re-assembly? Ive gone through 4 gallons of gas since then with no problem though....

I can handle an oil change but this is definitely above and beyond my level of expertise.

Here are some photos of the stray tube.....

Hanging down as I found it....

Pulled up and out of the hole its hanging through for better look at it....

Any ideas?

Whoa! Big file size on the photo

To the point.... What is the other side of the hose connected to?

Perhaps a battery vent?

Yeah sorry about the photo size. Didnt realize they were going to be so massive. New iPad has way better photo resolution I guess lol.

I cant seem to trace the source of the tube. I think Id have to take all the panels off to trace it to its source. Which I can do, just dreading it lol. Not my favorite way to spend the evening lol.

I have the same hose hanging on mine, I believe it is just a vent/overflow drain. I wouldn't worry about it.
