Specs at the link say the Kick will do 60mph. That's pretty fast for an air cooled engine.

Oh, I don't know about that. I've had aircooled motorcycles that easily topped 100. If we're talking strictly scooters, mine easily gets to 70 (GPS) with more available if I were to take it on the Freeway. In other parts of the world, there are plenty of aircooled scooters that routinely do 80 mph. Well, I suppose a lot of those aren't exactly stock...

So now it's air cooled? In the link http://www.islandscooters.us/ISLAND_SCO ... NUINE.html which looks like the dealer announcement of the Buddy Kick it says "4 valve liquid cooled engine" but now on the Genuine website it says "4-Stroke air cooled."

Also, wondering if it is still a 4 valve.

As for the claim of 60+mph for the Kick, the Buddy 125 has been speced. at 60+ mph by Genuine(2014 catalog.) Now on the website the Buddy 125 is speced. at only 50+mph. So you have to take the speed claims with a grain of salt.

Yeah, their specs for the Kick is pretty confusing. As far as the cooling is concerned, it might have an oil cooler like my Blur, so in a sense one could consider that as "liquid cooling".

And that Venture; 1.9 hp, restricted? Lol. I'm betting that thing won't be very popular in a city like San Francisco with all of our hills. Or for anyone that weighs more than a anorexic child.

How small is the Kick in comparison to the Buddy? On Youtube, it looks small even with Asians riding it! Love the flat seat though... ALL scoots should have flat seats IMHO. Asian ergos do us 6-footers no favors!

The Venture looks pretty cool. I'd like to ride it just to feel how large wheels ride. 16" and 14"---front and back.

Very excited for the Buddy Kick. Looks like it will be very similar to the Kymco Compagnio 110, which was a fun little bike to ride.

In regards to the Venture, I've ridden one (albeit not broken in yet). A little sluggish out of the box. I hear some playing with the carburetor makes a bit of a difference. The wheels do have a noticeable difference on the smoothness of the ride.

Also, slow speed turning radius isn't great. After some tinkering, I think it will definitely be a fun bike, especially at the price point it is at!

In regards to the Venture, I've heard that there was a slight manufacture defect resulting in such a slow speed. Genuine knows and is getting it taken care of though as far as I know!

Was just on the Genuine site and saw that the Buddy 170i is now listed at 55+ mph(was listed at 60+ before,) while the Hooligan is still listed at 60+ mph. Everything I have read has the Buddy 170 being as fast or faster than the Hooligan.

I am a big fan of Genuine Scooters but it would be nice to see them put out accurate numbers and stick with them. Changing them every time a new scooter comes out to make the new scooter look faster than the old models isn't cool.
