I just brought this home today. Wanted one so bad for a long time and finally pulled the trigger because I found a good deal on a barely used one.

1300 off the OTD price I was quoted for a new one at another dealer.

Also, the Sportcity is up for sale to make room. The Buddy isn't going anywhere.

Great looking bike. R3's are pretty rare around these parts as most people want the R1. But for inner city riding with occasional freeway use, the R3 is (IMO) the better bike. You're going to have a lot of fun on that.

How does your Sportcity compare with your Buddy? I've been looking for a Sportcity 250, but they never imported very many into the States so they're as rare as hen's teeth.

I have only seen one other R3 on the road here. That's fine with me though. It's pretty much the perfect bike for me. I honestly don't feel like I will outgrow it. Never saw myself on a sport bike, but it's such a beautiful bike and is very well made. I was gonna hold out for the Genuine G400, but I got impatient.

The Aprilia definitely feels bigger. Bigger wheels and a little more mass make it more stable. It is not as quick though. Top speed is about the same, but acceleration is much slower. That can easily be fixed with some variator and clutch upgrades. Even more so with the Malossi 190 kit. I was thinking about going that route, but never did.

I am not done with scooters by any means. I plan on keeping the Buddy. My wife will want a motorcycle eventually as well, but I'd like to always have at least one scooter in the stable.
