Modern Buddy

I strapped my GPS on the Buddy 170i and recorded actual MPH from 20 to 65 BMPH. Not too bad at lower speeds, but drops off rapidly to over 5 mph too fast after around 60 bmph.

So, my top speed is...62.3 gps mph. No freeways for me.

NOTE: my tire pressure is a little higher than normal.

When my girlfriend rides the Buddy, she normally asks me how fast my '79 Vespa is going since it's accurate.

That's about right. My 170i Hooligan's speedos are actually about 10% optimistic at higher speeds.
