I need new pants....

Post by skully93 »

I was shooting down a 55mph road on my buddy, and I heard a horrible noise in the variator. Then, I smelled rubber. I knew the belt broke. no big deal...

The rear tire locked up. I skidded, swerved, and let out a very unmanly scream......but I kept the rubber side down. Pushed it half a mile to an intersection ( no one was behind me, thank heavens) and got a ride to teh shop. new belt, back on the road. no damage.

phew!

How many miles on it when it let go?

P.S. Glad to hear the rubber side stayed down.
Speed is only a matter of money...How fast do you want to go?

Street, or pants?
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Do you know which brand you had?

Normally I run the regular Bando but at one point I tried a Gates and it was a piece of junk chunks started to peel off. Whereas the Bandos just seem to get smaller, even after 14k then still looked good.

A good 10-15ft, maybe more. Undies are done :P.

I don't remember what belt I had. I think it was the standard one. It had about 6k on it.
