Drilled through air/mixture screw :(

Post by Terescenko »

Hello all....I screwed up and drilled through my air/mixture screw and totally
F%^#+$ the thread. The spring even popped out....with that said,
I need a new carb. Looking at a 19mm...I have a 70cc BBK installed. All the carbs I have been looking at seem to have a different connector than what is on the Roughouse 50 manifold...do I need a flange to spigot adaptor? Where can I get one? Am I going to need to buy a new throttle cable as well? I think my slow acceleration when warm
Problem is due to my fuel/air mixture screw being out of wack...any help would be greatly appreciated thank you!

What were you thinking? Sorry, I couldn't help it. :). What were you trying to do? Is there a cap over the mixture screw?

Yup...an epoxy cap and a brass cap...apparently I should have used a dremel and created my own slot in the brass cap. At this point I'm thinking about buying the same exact carb except the one with the fuel air mixture screw...I found one for $130. Not sure if I should do this or go ahead and get a DelOtorro 19mm? Just confused about the connection to my roughhouse engine.
