2013 buddy 50 topspeed

I just bought this 4 months ago and I am seeing a top speed of 44 ( on speedometer). I am guessing that it has had the restrictions removed, although the previous 1st owner said she did not know about it. thanks

If you are reaching an indicated top speed in the mid-forty miles per hour range on a Buddy 50 then the bike is almost assuredly de-restricted. Otherwise, it should top out in the 30 MPH range.

Do not trust the speedometer. They are very optimistic.

Your speedo is about 10% optimistic so your actual top speed is about 40 mph. And, that's about right for a deristricted Buddy 50. Enjoy!

The buddy 50 is quick but if you need mote than 45 mph you need a 70cc kit or you need to get a motorcycle license and buy a Buddy 125.
