Modern Buddy

Hi Everyone. Very new to scooters and super new to Buddy's. We just acquired a 2008 Buddy 50cc. Great shape but hadn't been used in over a year and it was stored outside. Tank was rusted but thanks to some good advice and elbow grease its clean now. My question is this; I cleaned and reinstalled the carb and checked and or replaced every gas related part. I think it's running great and it starts right up but since I'm unfamiliar with smaller scoots, I'm wondering if it's supposed to would like a lawnmower? It's just so different from the two 150cc scooters we have. The sound is just really high pitched.

It is a Two stroke.
Your 150's are more than likely 4-Stroke.

So if it sounds like a leaf blower or chain saw...It's probably normal.
