I looked at the battery box and am not sure of the best way to route the harness for,the battery tender.
Thanks

It's a lot easier to get the adaptor and charge it through the power outlet.

I've seen other posts on here arguing against that, but I think they were for the buddy's with built in USB ports instead of 12v cig lighter adapters. Theoretically I could also do this for my Kick? (which has now stopped its temper tantrum and starts FINE, knock on wood, but just in case.)

For about $8 I got an extension that attaches to the terminals & has a plug on the other end. You just plug in the charger. I plan on running the plug outside the box & under the rubber mat so about 2" is sticking out. Might have to cut a nick on the lid of the battery box for the cable so the lid doesn't mash down on it. The plug has a rubber cap so the metal parts aren't exposed to weather. The charger I use is an Optimate 4 but battery tender makes them too:

I routed mine under the bike. I tuck it under the bottom panel when not in use. It stays put no problemo.

I just ran the pigtail out near the bottom of the battery box.
Drill a small hole if needed.
No big deal.
