Anyone know of a good shipper on the west coast? I was quoted at $800 from CA to WA. Is that a fair price?
Would I be better off selling the scooter and buying a used one here? I have a new cylinder, valve head, manifold, exhaust and carb and some transmission parts. I was thinking I could buy one with higher miles and install the parts I have.

Try uship.com I just shipped a 200cc Yamaha from Colorado to Texas for $185. The guy had a full sized truck and was delivering a trailer 40 miles from me. He was heading back to Texas empty.

I second UShip. I shipped a Buddy 50 from NC to WA for only $700.

James Hyde ( [email protected]) specializes in hauling scooters around the country.
He shipped my '59 Vespa from Seattle to Cedar Rapids for $400.

I might be willing to ride your scooter from CA to WA for free if you pay my airfare home. I love long rides. I live near Fresno.

Or you could buy mine in Seattle or Kitsap county: https://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/mcy/6153200167.html

Damn, if I was back living in Port Townsend I would have bought that in a second.
