There's a guy local to me selling a 2009 buddy, red. Has 1500 miles. Comes with windshield, top case, trickle charge, and a cover. He is asking $1000. Said it had a look over once by the dealer.
It seems like a hell of a deal. I already have a 2009 in seafoam and a 2009 kymco super 8.

If it runs that is a very fair price. You may need to put tires on it.

He claims the tires are in great condition with no dry rot and good tread

Change the tires and be certain that is runs well. Carb cleaning may be necessary and is not too inexpensive, unless you do it yourself.
Great bargain there!

That is a very fair price but the tires are 8 years old and looks can be deceiving. If you buy the scoot I would replace them at the earliest opportunity. Just out of curiosity, why would you be wanting a second 2009 Buddy 125?

Good question lol. I have no need for a 3rd scooter.. a 2nd buddy at that but it seems like it's too good of a deal to pass up. I love my buddy 125, they are mean machines.
The 125 I bought prior was also a 2009 and had 550 miles. I should have probably replaced the tires but they looked mint. Still has the tits on the tires. But I do understand looks can be deceiving.

And
RED is the fastest.
Scooter tires, on the other hand, are about ready for replacing after 5 or 6 years regardless of miles. The point isn't whether they still have tread or whether you can still see the rubber nipples around the edge. When a tire gets old, the rubber hardens and the tire no longer properly grips the road.

Has almost every accessory you can add. Low miles. Looks like a great deal. Look for cracks on the sidewalls and deep inside the tread. If you see none, and the tires hold air, ride away. Keep an eye on the pressure and the tires to be sure. To blindly throw them away is pissing away your money.
