Flat spots on rollers

Buddy 50. 1500 miles. I replaced rollers w sliders 3 of the rollers had flat spots. I’m new to scooting- is this normal for an almost new scoot?

It's totally normal.

If you think about the geometry of rollers rolling, it quickly becomes clear that they have to slide - and this is where flat spots develop.

Some brands are softer than others and are prone to flat spots easier. It also depends on your riding style. Lots of hills, passenger, etc. I always found it funny that Dr. Pulley and the like "sliders" come with flat spots already. They seem to work as I have friends that swear by them. I stick with old school round ones myself.
