Buddy in Canada--finally!

Last summer I posted that the PGO Bubu 50/125--also known as the Buddy--was undergoing homologation by Transport Canada. A recent check on the PGO Canada website confirms that by Spring '08 we Canuckistanis will have the "Metro" 50/125. The price is $3499 Canadian--about a hundred less MSRP than the Vino 125.

Insurance and finances willing, I might get one after two years off the road. I am also considering the Kymco People S 125, as it may be just a hundred dollars more. Not to mention those sixteen inch wheels are tempting given Montreal's vile pavement. Still, the PGO dealer most into selling the Metros is closer than the Kymco dealer. I'd be willing to trade off a shorter oil change interval and smaller tires just to have a more convenient service department on hand.

Guess in a few months I'll become a...Metrosexual!

Hey man, love Montreal.. Transplanted Vancouverite here, now living in Honolulu..How are you.
I'm just pushing myself to get a PGO Bubu 50 (2T) Italia (psstt.. do not spread this around, eh? it costs US$1595 OTR w/DMV tags + a super mega-chain/lock to boot) which is a direct equivalent of the Genuine Buddy 50 if I'm not mistaken.
I know, I know... I can't afford not to get it...
Take good care and enjoy the snow, eh? No, really.. I miss it sometimes.
