Not sure why I like this so much, but hopefully some of you will like it too. Brings back memories from my distant past.

I was hoping he had put one of those Briggs & Stratton Vanguard motors in it, but it's still very cool. Nothing like a minibike to bring out the inner hooligan!

When we were kids my brother & I each pooled our $65 & got a minibike. Thrashed the snot out of it 3 years until I got a summer job & enough $ to buy my first motorcycle. We had already broken the frame on the minibike so we sold it to my cousin who used the engine in a go kart. I knew nothing about hot rodding minibikes at the time but I did notice the throttle only opened about 3/4. I turned a screw adjustment to allow the throttle to completely open. It did improve top end power but the governor still limited top speed. A friend took the governor off his minibike & smoked me in a race but busted the connecting rod in 6 pieces. We took the head off, pushed the piston & watched is slide down slowly & fall into the crankcase. And laughed our butts off. He got a new rod & put the governor back on.

Man, such a great bad idea!
I had one years ago with Briggs power. My parents made me toss it before I got it running, told me I could have it or my '85 Puch Maxi. Nothing like missed opportunities coming back to haunt you.
I don't need another project. Maybe the GY6-powered Express II would make a good substitute.

At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Been watching YouTube videos on the Coleman CT200U minibike. Apparently they're pretty popular and there's a lot of upgrades for it. Just what I need, another toy and project...

Just wish there were places to ride these things around here. All we have is concrete and asphalt. Any open space gets built on or fenced off. Maybe I need to move somewhere else.

Well, dang!

"Near brand new, 1 hour use, Coleman 200U mini bike. It's been sitting in the garage for 1.5 years now.
It is a larger 200 lb. version "FAT" mini bike with front and rear carrying racks. It has a 6.5hp engine (196cc) centrifugal clutch with jack shaft chain drive. Comes with optional performance air filter and adaptor. Also comes with custom made header and muffler. Still need to be installed. It's a handful to ride."
