and heres my favorite.....the one and only Master Chief.
after eveyone always talking about helmets and safety, i went ahead and upgraded from a half helmet to a 3/4 helmet. I bought the AFX FX-4 lightforce in flat black (for me) and powder blue (for the wife). they have integrated fans for better air circulation, and also LED lights in the rear for better visibility, the helmet plugs in and has integrated recharchable batteries. Heres a pic of them.
I would be curious to know how the AFX helmet is. I am in the market for upgrading from my 3/4 Bell, which was ridiculously inexpensive, and seems a bit 'cheap' material wise. The AFX looks like a good option.
Those NEXX helmets (such as the denim one you posted) are really nice, but it seems they are not available in the US. Some prove me wrong, please!

I have an AFX (in pink!) I am happy with it. I do not recall how much it was. I have a medium, and it fits easily under the seat.
If you're shopping for a helmet, the most important thing you can do is take your time. Try a bunch on and always move to the smallest size that feels comfy. Once you have some finalists picked out, wear them around the store for a while to see if any pressure points develop.
Many of you already know about this website, but for those who don't, this is probably the single best resource for helmet info on the web. Tests, user reviews, FAQs, sizing info, shape info, you name it:
I've been shopping for a new helmet for the last couple of weeks. After trying on a bunch more yesterday, I think I have my list narrowed down to 3 or 4 choices. In a week or two I'll go back and try them on again and then I'll take one two home for a weekend of wearing around the house. It takes time to know if you have the right fit. If you ride any distance at all, you owe it to yourself to get as good a fit as possible.

As far as 3/4s easily obtained in the US and not ridiculously expensive, I'm a big fan of the Nolan N-30 (cool retro style, good quality) and my last 3/4, the N-42. I've recently upgraded to a modular and haven't worn the 3/4 since and may not ever again.
I'm not going to get all righteous about safety on ya, though. You know ths score. And I do like a cool helmet. Too bad the Momos cost too damn much and the Cromwells have to be imported.
