My Tip for removing Buddy 125 (Maybe 150/ 170) Oil Filter

TLDR: USE A 4-way Tire Iron (the one with 3 sockets and a huge tire bead blade like a big screwdriver)
Worked perfectly to remove the Designed by Satan factory oil filter with the weird rounded flat slot at the end.
The new filter I bought had a socket end on it like any other normal filter designed by a sane human.
Then the other end of the socket on the tire iron fit the new socket!
I'm sure this has been posted somewhere but I couldn't find it.

What oil filter did you buy, and where did you get it? All I can find on Amazon are the ones with the slot.

Yes, this is the tip every Buddy owner should follow. Use the HF197 filter with the hex on the end.

Won't work on a 150/170. The filter is mounted at/near the oil cooler. Different access.

I had no problem uninstalling or reinstalling the HF197 oil filter on the Buddy 150. It has the oil cooler

And be sure to torque to spec. Some that were not have spun off and really bad stuff happened.
