spraying oil on air filter

I've ridden my Buddy 125 about 9,000 miles and am only now asking if I should have sprayed oil on my air filter, as the owners manual mentions. For me, the manual is not clear about this. Does anyone spray 5 grams of oil on the air filter of the Buddy 125?

From what I recall you put oil on the 50cc air filter, not the 125 air filter. Others may know better......

That's correct. The 125 uses a dry paper filter. The two stroke 50 uses an oiled sponge.

Thank you scOOter and Dee Dee. I was thinking the same thing. Dee Dee you could start your own scooter shop with your skills and knowledge.
