I just cleaned out the variator etc. after 1,000 miles elapsed since last time 3 years ago.
It was pretty clean!
Is the variator made of steel? If so, wish my Burgman 400 variator was steel, might last longer.
This Buddy is simple and easy to wrench on

The variator is aluminum! In the event of a high-stress situation, the transmission parts are designed to fail before the steel engine crankshaft fails.
