I've changed oil and filter several times- is there a proper socket for the rinky-dink fitting on the oil filter? I suppose I could make one...
I don't know they didn't weld a hex fitting, to make life easier 😐

Seems like my filter came off with channel locks. I changed it back in the summer after a rock punctured it.

You can get Buddy oil filters with a hex on the end- https://www.amazon.com/Hiflofiltro-HF19 ... B002308WVY

Thank you, that's what I was thinking of.
I couldn't get channel locks in that space, the center stand etc in the way.

Use a big flat tip screwdriver/pry bar/chisel, etc.. to get it off. Replace it with the HF197. Torque to 13 ftlbs when you put it back on.

I made a custom ratchet end at work for the slit style oil filters, so I still buy them if the price is good. But Cycle Gear sells the hex end oil filters in store if needed in a pinch.

Cut out a small metal tab, insert in socket (I used 24mm 6 point) if your oil filter doesn't have that hex fitting 🙂
I'd post a pic but I don't know what "7 MiB" is.
