I’m looking for any guidance. I just replaced my battery and when I went to start it I have power on the screen. but it would not turn over.I am getting an error message in the top right corner of the screen that looks like a power plug with an “x” through it. It is not a kill switch issue- I have already learned that lesson- LOL.
I called our local scooter shop and they can’t get me in for 6 weeks. She did ask if the brake lights come on- which they don’t.
Any help would be much appreciated. I am at my wits end.

Did you charge the new battery over night before you installed it? What was going on that prompted you to replace it?

Re: Buddy kick 125 battery issue
The battery was charged before I installed it. The old battery was a five year old battery. The scoot sat for 6 months with out a battery tender(first mistake)so when I took the battery in to the battery store they checked it out and said it was in fact dead.

See if there are directions in your owner's manual to reset your ECU. Try this. It's for the 170i

Still nothing. I looked through the manual and there was no ecu reset instructions.Thr error message says it’s the kill switch but it’s definitely not the kill switch. I just don’t know.

How do you know it's not the kill switch? Lots of reported problems w/ kill switches shorting out over the years. Had you been using the kill switch to stop the bike before it died?
