My 2009 buddy 50 will not run when the autochoke (bystarter) is installed. The choke is new as the old one broke when I was dismantling the carb. We have cleaned the carburetor multiple times but the scooter will only idle when the choke is removed. This makes the scooter run rich and smoke. If I plug the choke hole with my finger, the scooter dies. I have confirmed that the choke is extending as it warms up. I have also replaced the spark plug, new gas, and new petcock.
Any suggestions as to what the issue may be?
