Do they make adjustable brake levers for 170i

Post by 512Texan »

I have a 2016 Buddy 170i. I bought it for my daughter to use at college. She has small hands and it’s hard for her to reach the brake levers comfortably. Particularly the right front brake with the accelerator. I have done a lot of looking online and I don’t think genuine makes anything. There are options that are designed for various different motorcycles. I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and found something that fits a Buddy.

I don't believe there was ever anything Buddy specific, but you could try a kit like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/334797432387

It's for a GY6-base scooter, with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake.
At what point does a hobby become an addiction? I'm uncertain, but after the twelfth scooter, it sorta feels like the latter...

Seriously...I've lost count...

Seven mopeds ...that's still manageable...

Genuine made a "dog leg" style brake lever for some of there scooters that might work for you, I had one on one of Buddy scooters I would have to get out a rule to see how much closer it sits to the grip-

Thanks for the suggestion. I may look into this.

This could work. Thanks for the info. Looks like a will be giving scooterworks a call and see if they think it will have any issues for my 170i.
