2008 Buddy 125
1900 miles
While waiting for resistors to fix the gas gauge, I checked a bunch of other stuff.
Found about 2 tablespoons of oil at bottom of air cleaner housing. Running through the intake hose, to the carburetor.
Why?

Blow by, Pull your dipstick and check your oil level. Is it overfilled?

It could be blow-by, but that only seems to occur after extended high-speed running. Your scoot's a bit low on mileage to have blow-by, but maybe a previous owner disregarded break-in parameters and rode it like it owed them money?
Another possibility is that the scoot was laid on it's left side, which could help oil get into the breather tube through the head and it was sucked up into the intake tract?

Not unusual to have a bit of oil accumulate there. Some scooters have drains that let that seepage drip out onto the road. Vespas have little clear vinyl bubbles capping the drains so in theory you can see when some accumulation occurs and can drain it out at your convenience. I’d suggest wiping the airbox out with paper towels and looking again in 500 miles. Or 1000 miles. Or whenever.
