Today I was going to visit where I work to show everyone my scooter, never rode in a public road before, but I have driven in them, so I knew what to do, but just on a scooter! So I forget to close my garage door and go back home real quick to close it, set the side stand down on the FLAT sidewalk and the thing tipped over somehow, I think the wind blew it over because today was windy.

Luckily I got away with really no damage, the rear brake lever got scratched up and the front wheel fender got a small scratch, but really, these things arent noticeable unless I look up close at them. Not having paint handy to "touch up" the handle bar I used a sharpie marker, it actually looks fine close up, and almost undamaged, but if you "feel" for it, you'll see it isnt smooth.

Anyways, I freaked out, but all was fine in the end, started right away and tested everything out to make sure they all worked, everything is A ok!

Sorry to hear it, too, but it's a proven fact of physics that Buddy scooters are faster and handle better after they get their first scratch.

Ride safe out there!

BUMMER! It always sucks to have something happen right off the bat like that... at least it sounds like there is very minimal damage. I took a little spill when I only had 50 MILES on my scoot! :x :? :( ...jacked it up a bit. The left brake lever is ground down about a quarter-inch, plus I need a new headlight bezel cuz its TOAST! Lucky I fell to the left so my center stand took the brunt of the scrapage & saved my paint! :whew:

Anyways, enough about me!
Hope you have lots of fun scooting!!! HAPPY EASTER!

That sucks! I don't trust or use the side stand. I have a feeling that I would rev the engine and with the side stand the back tire is on the ground. Spells nothing but trouble in my opinion.

From now on I will be using my center stand for all my parking needs, I dont trust the side stand anymore.

Anyways, well I guess I had to lay her down sometime, and her time was now :) I was lucky I picked her up right away, I was afraid the engine may have flooded with gas or something may have leaked, but so far she rides just fine. I always take a spin in the neighborhood before going out in the public roads with cars, I'd rather have a mechanical problem near home, then away from it.
