Just wondering who is planning in attending this one. www.rattlemybones.com
It is in mid August and I am thinking in attending (provided nothing has to be fixed on the cabin, you MN folks know what I am talking about). It would be nice to meet some of you and put some faces to the words.

I usually work at the shop on the saturday of the rally and I'm not much for group rides so I probably won't attend. But they get a good turn out and last year they even had a good crowd in the rain and had a lot of fun. I don't know if they have events planned at the 'ville or not with the new space being much less convenient for a large group. But It'd be hard to imagine that they wouldn't have one event at the store.

I'm in!

I went last year and didn't even have a scooter. Still had a blast. Now the wife and I both have scoots. The gymkhana was great, and just such a blast to watch. This year we get to participate. I'll leave the hazard jumping to Pooter though.

Hey EP_scoot, I'm going to ride a little 'round EP this afternoon after work. Wanna come?

Nathaniel, you are also at EP ! We will have to set something up!
I am picking up the Blur from the Ville on Saturday, otherways I would take you up on that offer for a ride tonight !

I really want to go to the RMB, if anything to compare to the rallies I attended back in Spain eons ago in my youth. I am guessing it will be similar other than y'all be speaking english. But I have a feeling that scooterist love beer, no matter the nationality. :D

Beer? What? Did someone say beer?

Yeah, I'm in EP. Live 'bout where 62 meets Baker. You need a ride out to S'ville on saturday? Or are you going to pick it up in a truck? I've got access to a truck as well, if you're in need. Supposed to be 44 and partly sunny. I'm so jealous that you've got a Blur. I've been lusting after the black/sliver one Bob's got there at S'ville.

Thanks for the offer.
For now my wife is planning in taking me there and I will ride it back! :D
I think she just wants to take one more shot at me for getting a scooter. Funny how a couple days ago she said, again for the 100th time, "Gosh, did't you ride enough in Spain? You have two small children ! You did not really buy a scooter did you?" I think she thinks the invoice I showed her before was fake or something. :D

She loves me, thus she worries, plus when she met me in Spain 20 years ago, well, back then I was invincible, knew everything there was to know and could never get hurt so I rode like there was no tomorrow . . . youth is blind! What can I say, I have now gotten much smarter.

That explains a lot about every Serveta Lambretta I've ever seen.

LOL. One of the first things the American gal that would become my wife told me when we met in Spain was "do all your cars/bikes are dented/scratched, etc?"

20 years ago collision insurance cost was outrageous in Spain so, except perhaps the King, none of us had it (if you have ever driven in Spain, Italy, France . . . you know what I mean).

And then when I came here, I thought your parking spaces were HUUUUGE, "no wonder your cars never have dents", I said!
Don't get me going, I have a lot of confused immigrant stories of my first couple of years in the USA that will make you burst your spline laughing. I laugh about them too . . . now.

My wife and I are both going. She actually signed us both up during the Cabin Fever at Scooterville. She wants to do the scavenger hunt and I want to check out all of the scoots. Hope the weather is nice. Will be looking for all of the Buddy's. I ride the red and my wife rides a pink Buddy 125.

I am sure i will make it again this year. Let's hope for some sun this time.

Please give the farthest traveled award to someone else this year. Winning it last year was enough for me.

Susan and I are already registered, and I will likely be volunteering again in some capacity. Last year I was the ride coordinator for the Newbie Ride, as well as a blocker for the Saturday/Sunday rides and a moving target for some tool, with a paintball gun, at the Gymkhana.
I don't expect much to change for 2008. <sigh>
Note to self: don't wear nice clothes to the Gymkhana.

Great !

I am thinking in registering online, it will serve as motivation to make sure all cabin chores are done by then or can be postponed until later, unless we have some un-anounced issues such as last year's when the sump pump died . . . that, you have to deal with NOW.

CRAP ! I can't wait for tomorrow to come . . . .I am soooo excited to pipck up the Blur . . . one more day of waiting, sigh

Scavenger Hunt starts about 6 or 7 on Thursday night.
Quite possibly my favoritist part of the rally.
