I had several things on my mind this morning so when I got to the dealership I just let him begin the oil change and service. When he was close to finishing I asked if they had the chrome cowl protectors in stock and how much they were.
(I remember from scooterworks that they sell them for $139).
He said that they do have them and that they cost $140, plus installation which is only 15-20 minutes. I told him to go ahead and install them if he has time (there was only one guy working today, the other guy is at a scooter rally). Anyway, he said that he did have available time so he went ahead and installed them.
Not paying a whole lot of attention because my mind was still on the kajillion other things I have to do today, I paid and ran off to get home so I could begin all those other things.
When I got home I took a look at her....and was really disappointed.
1. the front chrome bar that has the passenger foot pedals is missing all together! I don't know if the dealer sells them separately or if he forgot to install that part.

Compare to the photo scooter works has listed as the same part number and description as what my receipt says

2. the silvery part where the chrome attaches is detached somewhat from the body now...

you can barely see it here on the right side of the photo but it's like a quarter inch. Am I being too anal retentive about that?
The other guy who works there is a friend of mine, but, like I said, he is out of town at a scooter rally and won't be back until Tuesday. Should I call and ask the guy who is there about the foot pegs? What about the slight separation?
I feel totally foolish for not noticing such a big thing as that when I was there this morning and I have so many things to do today and tomorrow that I'd not be able to get back up there until Tuesday or Wednesday (they are closed Sun and Mon).
Anyway, I wanted the cowl protectors installed because if I ordered it from scooterworks I'd have to install it myself and I was already there and having work done and it was only going to be an additional 15 minutes ($21) for installation...but Scooterworks price of $139 includes the passenger footpegs (!!) and my scooter is missing those...
whats a girl to do?
