So I went to the scooter shop near my town today and FINALLY got some longer mirrors!
Wholy freakin crap, they are sooooo awesome. I can't believe I have been driving around for a month without them! So worth the $50!
Anyways so now that I can see who is behind me I am going to be taking my longest ride ever. Round trip about 50 miles. I am nervous but so excited too. The weather is so nice, right around 80 degrees. I just wanted to keep riding but unfortunetly I worked a 16 hour shift, then went to the scooter shop, so I need to sleep!
How many miles are on your bike? Taking a long trip like that when you need a oil change cant be too good for the engine, just curious since you mentioned "when to get your first oil change" earlier.

Yeah, I did that recently. The new longer mirrors are wonderful. I went for almost a whole year before I got them. I can't believe what a difference they make!

New mirrors are my next investment. As for your long trip. Your Buddy will do just fine...I have taken several trips of 50 to 70 plus miles long. The Buddy handles them with no problem at all.

I've made a couple of trips of 60+ miles there and 60+ miles back. The first left me a little light in the legs since that is the longest I'd ever been on my scooter at 50-60+ mph before! But the second time was a breeze. Both times were quite windy, which was a bit of a pain but not bad as I learned how to drive pretty well in high winds. Consider it a learning experience any time you go on a longer trip and you'll get a lot out of it.
The ride was awesome! My buddy did great. That was the first time I had been around that much traffic too and I think I did good, I am really getting used to my buddy and feeling really comfortable on it.
Yeah my legs did hurt after the ride. And my butt went numb. LOL But it is all worth it.
The more I ride my buddy the more I love it. I am really surprised by it's great performance. It really is an awesome little bike.

The longer mirrors aren't as convenient for things like parking next to a building or fence or when walking the bike through tight spaces, but they sure are nice for riding.
