Hi Kids,
I did a search but couldent find what I need.

Can someone show me the position the spring clips have to be in to re-install the Brake Caliper on the genuine 50cc scoot. I have a Black Cat but hopefully the brake caliper is the same on different models.

Also does anyone know the Torque Specs on the front hub nut?

The story go's like this someone took off the front wheel of my Black Cat and gave me the parts in a Zip Lock bag. I cant figure out the position of the clips.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Cheers,
Lucky~

Hm, look who's slumming on MB!

For a Buddy, the torque value for the front axle nut is 4.5 - 5.5 kg.

Is that the right figure, you think?
It's from the Buddy 125 Service Manual. Link at the top of this thread.

Thanks

Eric,
Thanks for the link and for the proper torque value on the front axle nut.
I got the front brake back togeather. It was very helpfull to have someone hold the tire as i guided the brake assembly back into place.

So now it looks like the front brakes on the Black Cat are a simple task as long as you watch how the parts are removed.

I have a few scooters in my garage but I will tell you riding that little two stroke Black Cat is a kick in the pants. Not as fun as the Rattler I rode at Scoot Richmond but still fun...

Cheers,
Lucky~
