My wife and I placed our deposits today on two 2008 Buddy 125s! Tangerine for me and Seafoam for her. Our dealer, Urban Village Scooters, tells us that the wait should be around two weeks....might be the longest two in a while. In the interim, we'll keep staring at the pictures and reading this very informative forum - thanks!

Congrats! We'll want to see pics when you get 'em. It's like baby pictures.
I can assure you—2 scooter households are happy ones.

Wow, congrats! Would love to see them side by side.
I hope wait doesn't drive you crazy. I know it would for me.

Hello, all. I, too, am a fellow newbie here. I just finished my MSF class this weekend (in 95 degree heat). I've got a red '07 Buddy 125 w/ white wall tires. I'll be happy to posts some pics, but only after I get the the top section of the headset and the headlight bezel replaced (previous owner had a crash).

hey, nuttmeg! Another local Buddy owner. Yeah it was 100 degrees when i tool the MSF, too. Did you do it at West Valley Occupational Center? And did you take in on the Buddy?
Congrats on the new scooter and welcome to the forum!
We're hoping to have some informal group rides planned through the summer if you're interested.

Nope. I took it at the VA Hospital parking lot in West LA. While I did consider taking it on the Buddy, I ended up riding one of their motorcycles and I'm glad I did, just in case I ever do decide to move up to a bigger bike.
And yes, lemme know when your next group ride is. Sounds awesome.

I have a red '07 buddy 125 with whitewalls also, the red color gets into your brain and makes you want to drive faster....

Totally. All I wanted to do yesterday after my MSF class yesterday was take the Buddy out for another ride. But heat exhaustion got the better of me, so I had to rest up first.

Yeah, I kind of goofed on that one. I took the MSF on my scoot even though I already had my license. I've ridden a motorcycle, but it's been years and would have liked to have done the course on an MC. I've been thinking about seeing if they'd allow me to retake the riding portion sometime (without charging me $200!). I can also wait for the weather to cool off. Whew.
