I Got Swarmed

I was heading out of town on the way home, when I ran into a swarm of Honeybees. Running into a swarm is not my idea of fun and entertainment, but it sure was exciting. It sounded like I had been shot with a shotgun. Somehow the gods were looking over me and I didn't get stung once. The windshield, face shield, jacket and gloves once again earned their keep. I have hit swarms in my car before but this was the first time on a bike. Boy was that a sticky mess, cleanup took a little while. Just one of the quirks of rural areas.

In California's central valley during the summer there's a huge number of butterflies out. I mean thousands. On some roads I looked like a drunk driver trying to swerve and avoid them. If they hit you they left this NASTY yellow/green splotch.

How do you know if you have "Africanized Honeybee's"?

The whole flower will be missing, not just the pollen and nectar. :lol:
