You could de restrict it and get around 40-45mph top speed. Then you could get it kitted to 70cc, and get a performance pipe, this should make it go about 50mph.

Thank you, will the idle get better? I have to hold the throttle to get it to run in the morn and after it is warm.

Your idle might be low, eric has a tutorial in the technical forums of how to adjust it, you might want to just turn it up a bit. The bike should run in any condition and stay on by itself.

Dodgeboy, congrats and welcome !
Good too see more MN people coming in.
Did you get it at Scooterville? If the adjusting becomes too much for you, just take it back if you are close and they can do that for you.
Hopefully i'll see you around.

Have you stayed on paved roads or have you traveled a few miles on dirt/gravel/sand road(s)?

Yea, your air filter may be junky and dirty if you rode on dirt roads, dirt roads will kill your air filter and engine performance, just get a can of compressed air and clean it. Otherwise, if you havent been off road/dirt roads, your idle is probably the issue.

Also, when you start it and are holding the brake lever; try letting it run for a couple minutes and slowly release the brake lever.

Yeah, start it holding the rear break, but you should be able to have it run smoothly after just starting it....

We've seen damn near all 08's coming in with the idle set wrong; is it still acting up? Bring it down; it'll take 1 minute at which point I can talk to you about making it hella fast!
