I picked it up today and it started right up no problems then rode it 12 miles home without running hard. Parked it for a couple hours and now it takes quite a few 3 to 5 second trys of the starter button before it will run. I am waiting for the oil light to go off before I try and start it and holding the brake in and it trys to start, but doesn't stay running for the first few tries. Does this have to do with the break-in process or is there a problem or is it just normal?
Thanks for any info

That's not really normal and could be a variety of issues. Have a couple of questions...
When you push the starter, what exactly happens? you hold it for a few seconds, the scoot starts to turn over then peters out? Or does it just sound like whirring, then nothing?
Have you tried to start it multiple times without actually riding it?
Has the problem gotten worse?
My first guess would be a weak battery or loose connection. But depending on how you answer the above, could be something else.
Wouldn't hurt to call the dealer and describe what's going on. They may be able to pinpoint it in seconds.

When I push the starter it trys to start and if you let off after 4 or 5 seconds of turning it over it peters out, but it does not sound like the battery is dying or weak. If you do it two or three times then it will start. I have only started it 3 times so no real way to tell if it is getting worse, but it fired fine and quickly the first time, then after riding it and a few hours of sitting it was hard to start and then rode it a few miles and then I parked it and let it sit for a few hours and tried to start it, just to see if the problem persisted, and it did so I let it warm up and then turned it off and so far that is it.
