Alright I bought a GPS (Garmin Nuvi 260) a few Days ago and love it so far. I have managed to mount it on my People 250 just fine. I removed the screws from the break fluid res. and but screw holes through the plastic suction cup mount that it came with and screwed it on top the break res. It seems to be holding fine Opinions appreciated.
Well now that I mounted it on the People I would like to mount it to the Buddy, any thoughts on this?
A Ram mount wont work (atleast as far as I can tell). The Ball part of the Ram mount is much larger than the propriatry hole on the braket for the GPS.
oh, perkins! ::shakes fist:: i've really resisted wanting one of these doodads. your pictures have corroded my determination!
do you find your gps is a distraction while you're on the road? please say yes. i'm one of those types that will get lost if i don't take the same route everyday, and have contemplated procuring one of these gps devices.

Ram makes mounts that connect to the top of the break fluid resivoirs and has several different sized to connect to diffent bikes. I think this would work for the buddy, but would require usings a dremmel tool to cut a hole in the top handlebar pannel.
I guess I didnt read all of that before I wrote. Couldn't you buy a duplicate bracket and bolt it through the plastic cover on the buddy in approx the same location as your Kymco?
I think it has to do with the size of the fonts, brighter screen, bigger buttons you can push with gloves on and maybe adjustable sensitivity of the touchscreen?
Just a guess, though. I do not have one, but have been thinking about it.
