Does your scooter cause accidents?

Seriously. On my wife's Buddy I had one guy in a SUV coming in the opposite direction and making a right turn. He started staring at the Buddy, and drive up onto the curb, almost taking out a sign.

Then a week later at a light, a woman in the next lane starts staring at it. The guy in front of her creeps forward a little and she lets off the gas while still staring, and bumps into him.

Last week, I'm at a light on my MP3 and a guy in a SUV is coming up to the stop light. He starts staring and totally creams the rear end of a Civic that was stopped at the light.

I think me riding a scooter is more dangerous for the cagers than it is for me :?

haha. sure sounds like it. you may be able to use it to your advantage and get around them easier.

that is strange though. I have yet to see a full on accident while riding around, whether I was marginally involved or not. It may just be a matter of time, I get alot of looks from the F-150 guys. can't tell if it's loathing, jealousy or a combination of the two. :D

I was at stoplight today with "red" for me. The guy to the side of me who had the green was first in line and he sat there and didn't move. There were several cars coming behind him, but thankfully they stopped too. But I'm sure they were wondering why he didn't move on a Green Light.

He's looking at me on my Pink Buddy and doesn't even pay attention to the stop/go lights.

No accidents but the potential for one or multiple.

With the ridculously nice weather here yesterday, there were some girls walking down the street on the waterfron that almost made me and my buddy crash... kind of the opposite situation! 8)

"Since my ride's smaller, does that mean my ___ is bigger?" (somewhat vulgar, but humorous nonetheless)

"My tank can go further than your tank"

"I'm smaller, better looking and easier on the wallet" (sort of my philosophy when dating too)

ohhh - OR you could come up with scooter related "honor student" stickers such as:
My scooter is smarter than your honor student
My scooter is faster than your honor student
My scooter beat up your honor student

I'm thinking of getting the personalized plate:

90 MPG

With a license plate frame reading:

Did I mention...
90 MPG?

Just to rub it in.

(ok everyone in Washington State, please don't rush out to steal this incredibly clever and witty idea...)

(ok, go ahead, it is corny.)

Schlagle,
I think riding that MP3 500, you better get used to that effect !
It is such a nice machine and how often do you see a three wheel Scootasaurus Rex looking thing like that on the road?

Or maybe is your good looks . . . you call ! :D

lol, sadly, I'm a pudgy bastard so it must be the scoot. You get used to the attention. But the destructive chaos is a bit hard to handle.
