I am investigating gear for my kids, 11 and 12. Any of you out there know where I can find helmets, armored jackets, etc for my little pests? They are positively SALIVATING to get on Piglet.
Not that they are until I feel more proficient....but I thought I'd start researching now for the day I want to have a passenger.

I'd say a helmet should be fine for them. A motorcycle super store will have youth helmets made for kids that age.

Kids can be a nightmare on the back. They tend to move around a lot and throw off your balance unexpectedly.
The trick with a person's first ride as a passenger is for you to make sure they can't do anything. You'll want to restrict everything they do so they have very little choice except to hang on tightly. This means lots of rules and pulling over frequently the first few times.
I would suggest velcro all over the back of your jacket and front of theirs

Ha kids? My bf wouldnt stop moving today. I pulled over 3 times. It took me 45 mins to get to work instead of 20...
Anyway my dealership (Harley) has youth and kids sized jackets.

You might also want to look at motocross stores as they cater to kids starting at an early age. It would be motocross style, but protection none the less.

Motorcycle Superstore.com has a bunch of kids' stuff.
Also check ridegear.com and cyclegear.com. Cycle Gear is a national chain so may have a store near you.
